Kauhale Makai #324

This is a cute, modern condo that is actually larger and nicer than the photos show! It came pretty well equipped with beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and cooler, which were super useful. Lots of towels and supplies as well as a nicely stocked kitchen. The complex itself is laid out nicely and the pool area was fun!
The down side was the place could use a better cleaning. I saw a photo of a filthy fan in one of the reviews, and that is still not corrected, as the scary fan is still right there. Also all of the vents are incredibly thick with dirt. The dishes and pots are not looked at after the previous tenants because there was a lot of food stuck on them and the blender wasn’t cleaned.
Over all though this was an excellent stay for us! We enjoyed our time and it was all in a great area too!

This property has the best view I could hope for, we were able to watch the wales from our deck. Bed was a little softer than I like, but I slept well in it. The kitchen was accessorized well, but could use a couple of spatchalas: a plastic one for flipping pancakes and a metal one for the gril out side. Condo was clean, although the floor had not been wet moped. My white socks turned brown within 20 minutes of arrival. It could use a couple more towels as there is not a washer or dryer in the condo and we didn’t come on vacation to spend hours doing laundry. Over all, It was a great experience and I look forward to coming back. Property management was easy to communicate with. Loved the place.

We enjoyed our stay at Kauhale Makai. Our room was clean and the view was breathtaking. The location is very close to shops, food trucks, beautiful beaches and restaurants. The pool was very relaxing and the nunber of grills was very convenient.

I found this complex on Tripadvisor and I wasn't sure about it as I hadn't seen anyone talking about it on any Maui forums. Let's just say it is a very well kept secret. The complex is beautiful, the grounds are impeccably maintained, the grills, the pools and the hot tub were lovely. The unit was so much better than I expected. The photos don't really do it justice. It's small but very cozy for a couple! It's not fancy or loaded with amenities but it has what you need and it's very comfortable and was immaculately clean. The view is outstanding! We so appreciated the beach supplies and used them quite a bit. The property MGMT company was so nice and easy to work with. If we come back to Maui, we will absolutely book this place again!

Our first time staying in Kihei. The location of this condo couldn’t be more perfect. It is right on the beach and the sunsets are amazing. The unit could use a refresh and smelled very musty when we arrived. Fixed with a Febreeze plug in.

This place was honestly beautiful with an amazing view! It is just as describee. The only thing I would suggest is for the cleaning personal, they need to do a better job at cleaning. I'm a clean person so when I arrived I swept and there was so much dirt/sand, something minor I was able to resolve by doing it myself. Everything else was great and cannot complain.

Overall we have no complaints about our stay. The condo was very clean and well maintained. The views were also excellent. The condo had everything you could need/want to have a great stay. The only issue we had was that the balcony door in the living room is very hard to open and close. Otherwise everything was great! Thank you!

We couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay here. Kihei was a perfect "base of operations" for all the fun things we had planned. A few minutes to the south we had Maluaka and Makena beaches. Great snorkeling and we never had to search long for turtles. A short drive north to historic Lahaina and Kapalua Ziplines. Haleakala and the Road to Hana were not far away either. Self check-in was a breeze and the condo was clean upon arrival. The kitchen was up-to-date and well equipped, however, the addition of some grilling utencils for flipping burgers outside by the pool would have been nice. We really, really, really appreciated the use of the beach gear (umbrellas, chairs and boogie boards) so, thank you much for that! I wish the site let us share pics because the sunsets on our balcony were magnificent. The A/C was cold and the water was hot. The entire complex settled down nicely in the evening so we could relax and everyone we encountered there seemed very happy. Why wouldn't they be? It's Maui! Thanks for having us. We'd definitely recommend Kauhale Makai to others. Cheers!

It was very relacing

We found the accommodations excellent. Condo was very clean, roomy and had all of the necessary amenities. I would recommend this place to my friends.

It was a great location not too far from the beach. We could see the ocean from our balcony. We enjoyed the condo. It was accurately described on the advertisement. It needed some updates to improve it.

Overall we had a very comfortable stay. The condo was very clean and well equipped.

This was the perfect place to stay in Kihei- the location was great/easy access to get around the island and could not get any close to access to the ocean. Everything was as expected and did not have a reason to reach out to the management (which is the ideal situation!) and I will definitely recommend this locations to anyone going to Kihei in the future.

Very nice room, location in Kihei is very central to everything else on the island. Room was very clean and had everything we needed, lovely view, grounds were nice, pool and beach areas were nice. Needed more toilet paper though! Bed topper was way too soft, like sleeping on quick sand, we had to remove the topper, the mattress underneath is good. Overall a very pleasant stay in Maui!

Great place

Modern nice clean condo, very well located for your wonderful maui vacation. Check in and check out is via e-mail, our telephone or e-mail queries were answered promptly. The apartment is well equipped, we really appreciated the beach chairs, parasols and other accessories. There is a front desk responsible for the building, there we would have received the entry codes for the laundry, but we missed them due to the opening hours 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Check in to the apartment is from 4 p.m., so come to the front desk a few minutes before and you will get the information for the laundry. There is enough parking. On the whole, this is very recommendable centrally located accommodation for a great maui vacation, we would book again in a heartbeat.

This property was so peaceful with such a beautiful view from the balcony. We had such a great time staying here and loved going down to the beach or just enjoying the sunsets from our balcony! All issues I had seen in past reviews were fixed. The pull out couch was so comfortable and we had no trouble with the sliding doors. I’d definitely love to stay here again!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay in this condo. Pros: newly renovated home, easy access to beach, has a pool and bbq areas, beautiful maintained grounds, elevators, close to local stores, condo has a lot of amenities (beach toys, kitchen utensils, cooking spices, towels, toiletries), plenty of parking space, office staff was friendly. Cons: some areas of the building were in construction, beach was a little rocky, closet and doors were old and broken. All in all, we had an amazing stay! Communication from beginning to end was excellent. There were detailed instructions kept in a binder which made everything easy to navigate.

Loved waking up every morning to a beautful morning sky and watching the sunset from the balcony. The pool and hottub were great to use after our day of adventures around the island. The location is perfectly centered on the island to make it easy traveling North and South on the west side as well as east and towards the road to Hana. It has a little beach too. Although we found ourselves driving about 10min south to walk along the beach by the hotels as well. Grocery shopping and many small local spots are a 10min walk or quick drive away. For a spot that is conveniently located to move around the island this was perfect.
The condo itself, was updated and modern and with all the essentials you need to cook and make some meals at home. Loved the extra amenities of beach towels and beach gear too.
Friendliest service and check in too.

Great accommodations and well kept! Location was super convenient for beaches, shopping, food, and restaurants. We used the pool and big BBQ area for our group of 12 regularly. It was so nice to be in the same complex. Also had quick communication response from management team!

We had an amazing time in Maui, and our rental made our stay in Maui just perfect. Great communication upfront and easy check-in and check-out. We were able to relax, and enjoy every single day.

The listing looked too good to be true but the unit turned out to be as beautiful as the pictures. The kitchen was really well equipped, we cooked a bunch, and the unit came with beach equipment. Location is excellent with view to the ocean, beach right behind the building. The property manager was very helpful and responsive for anything we needed. All in all great stay, would recommend to anyone!
